Spieljochbahn Fügen
21 km of slopes
elev. 550 – 2020 m
Located just 9 km from the Inntal Autobahn (A 10) is the first ski area of the Zillertal. Great snow conditions all the way down to the valley. Guaranteed by modern snowmaking equipment, with 100% coverage. This is where snow-lovers discover the longest valley run with snowmaking capability in the entire Zillertal (7 km).

Ski-Optimal Hochfügen-Hochzillertal
162 km of slopes
elev. 560 – 2501 m
Extraordinary elevations ranging from 1500 to 2500 m guarantee us a long winter season. The town of Kaltenbach lies right there in the valley, while Hochfügen is reached via a top-quality scenic road. Our toboggan run is floodlit until midnight every day. Night-skiing is on Thursdays from 8 until 10 p.m.

Zillertal Arena
165 km of slopes

The Zillertal Arena gives you 165 kilometers of wonderfully groomed slopes, ranging from easy to expert, along with 51 ski lifts, making it one of the biggest and most modern ski areas in Austria. The Zillertal Arena is also home to about 35 alpine huts, restaurants and snow bars, along with ski schools that feature colorful fairytale areas for the youngsters, plus a high-alpine cross-country trail at 1600 m above sea level.

Gerlosstein Ski Area
The Gerlosstein tandem lift carries you from Hainzenberg (between Zell and Gerlos) into the heart of the ski area. The Zillertal Arena ski pass and the Zillertal Super Ski Pass are both accepted here.
Gerlosstein is a small ski area, offering families with children all kinds of skiing fun away from the crowded slopes found at other resorts.

Gerlosstein Toboggan Run
The Gerlosstein is also the site of the longest toboggan run in Zillertal. Enjoy a quick, comfortable ride on the Gerlosstein lift up to the top of the run at 1,650 m above sea level ... then away you go! You can keep your "pedal to the metal" all the way back down this 7 km-long hill. And along the way, cozy alpine inns invite you to stop in for some welcome refreshments. This toboggan run remains floodlit until 1 a.m.
Hours of the Gerlosstein Lift:
Daily from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.
Monday through Saturday: 7:45 until 9:15 p.m.

Mayrhofen Mountain Lifts

In just six minutes the Ahorn lift, the biggest of its kind in all of Austria, carries visitors from the town center of Mayrhofen up to the summit terminal. Once at the top, you will find perfect slopes. And whilst laid-back winter sports fans enjoy stylish relaxation on the Ahorn, our action fans make a pilgrimage up to the Penken. The legendary Hara-kiri run, with a 78 percent gradient, the steepest ski slope in all of Austria.

Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000

Tux and Finkenberg are located one storey higher than the rest – amid the glistening white of Ski & Glacier World Zillertal 3000. With elevations as much as 3250 meters above sea level, great snow conditions and white winter landscapes are very much in Mother Nature's hands. 227 km of slopes are divided up into four different ski areas: Eggalm, Rastkogel, Penken and the Hintertuxer Glacier- Austria's most attractive and only year-round ski area, with powder guaranteed from October through May.

Hintertuxer Glacier

Austria's only year-round ski area, a big hit 365 days a year with magical slopes, superlative lifts and fantastic scenery. Here, so close to heaven itself, you are able to enjoy fascinating views from the panorama terrace, accompanied by exceptionally maintained slopes for ski and snowboard fans, as well as winter hiking paths and all kinds of excursion opportunities.

Kellerjoch
In winter, the Kellerjoch ski area is ready and waiting for you to slice your way through the fresh powder (free ski bus from Schwaz).
For beginners and children, too, there are suitable lifts on the Weerberg and in Hausstatt (ca. 25 min. from Hof). From Terfens a free bus runs to Weer, home of the Mühlfeld , Hofer and Jägerhof lifts.
Sledding isn't neglected either, with one run dropping all the way from our mountain down to Terfens. For our smaller guests there is yet another toboggan run. Other nearby sledding opportunities are available in Gnadenwald, Pillberg and Wattenberg.
For children ages 4-12, the Karwendel "Silver Region" offers a free ski course (incl. lift ticket and equipment) between 19.12.09 and 26.12.09 and from 2.1.2010 until 10.4.2010 (except during the week of Fasching). This course is only free to guests staying for a full week.
