Let's meet at the Gauder Fest !

Every year on the 1st weekend in May is time for the traditional Gauder Fest – Austria’s biggest springtime folk festival – including a series of wonderful attractions.

The Gauder Fest is opened on Gauder Friday with a speech and the traditional tapping of the beer keg. The highlight of every Gauder Fest is a traditional parade on Gauder Sunday, which, with its colorful folk-costume and music groups, historic carriages, floats, teams of horses and oxen, has developed over time into one of the biggest such parades in all of Austria.
