Skiing holidays in the Zillertal
The Ziller Valley offers the best ski areas in the Tyrol. Lovely vast and well-groomed pistes, modern lifts and many rustic ski lodges with inviting sun terraces await you. Whether you are a ski professional, carving fan, snowboarder, or a family with children, there is just the right ski piste for any ability.

At an unusual altitude of 1,500 to 2,300 m above sea level, the ski area guarantees snow even into the spring. The village of Kaltenbach is located in the valley; Hochfügen can be reached by travelling the well-maintained panorama road. Our toboggan run is floodlit daily until midnight.
In the winter, the Kellerjoch ski area offers powder snow for your turns. There are plenty of lifts for beginners and children. You can take a free bus from Schwaz and Terfens to the Kellerjoch ski area. A particularly family-friendly highlight: A week's stay gets you a free ski lesson including lift ticket and equipment for children ages 4 to 12 in the Silberregion Karwendel.
Tux and Finkenberg are one level higher in the glittering white snow of the Ski and Glacier World Zillertal 3000. Snow is guaranteed on peaks at up to 3,250 metres above sea level and a white wonderland awaits you. There is a total of 196 km of pistes in four ski areas: Eggalm, Rastkogel, Penken and Hintertux Glacier, Austria's most attractive ski area that offers year-round skiing and guaranteed powder snow.
With 139 kilometres of well-groomed pistes catering to all abilities and 51 lifts, the Zillertal Arena is one of the largest and most modern ski areas in Austria. It offers approximately 37 huts, restaurants, and snow bars, as well as ski schools with colourful fairy-tale landscapes and a high-altitude cross-country trail 1,600 metres above sea level.
In only six minutes, the Ahornbahn gondola lift, the largest aerial tram in Austria, takes visitors from the centre of Mayrhofen to the mountain station. Perfect pistes await guests at the peak. While those taking things a bit more slowly can relax on Ahorn Mountain, those seeking more action can continue on to Penken Mountain. The legendary Harakiri piste with a 78-percent incline, is the steepest piste in Austria.
The Ziller Valley's first ski area with guaranteed snow is only 9 km from the Inntal A12 motorway. A high-tech artificial snow system guarantees snow on all the pistes. Snow enthusiasts will find the longest snow-covered valley piste in the Ziller Valley (7 km).
